Read the terms that govern your use of WT Free Tools and its online tools and services.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WT Free Tools, including our website, calculators, converters, generators, checkers, file utilities, embedded tools, content, and related online features (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms govern your access to and use of WT Free Tools, including the website, calculators, converters, generators, checkers, file utilities, embedded tools, content, and related features (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If applicable law requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, you may use the Service only in accordance with those requirements.
2. Permitted and prohibited use
You may use the Service for lawful personal, educational, professional, or business purposes. You are responsible for your inputs, files, use of results, and compliance with laws that apply to you.
You must not misuse the Service; violate law or third-party rights; interfere with servers, networks, security controls, rate limits, or other users; gain unauthorized access; probe or exploit vulnerabilities without written authorization; introduce malware; impersonate another person; facilitate fraud, harassment, unlawful surveillance, infringement, or other illegal activity; or use scraping, bots, crawlers, bulk requests, or similar automation in a way that bypasses controls or places an unreasonable load on the Service.
You may not copy, mirror, frame, resell, sublicense, commercially redistribute, circumvent technical restrictions, or reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law prohibits such a restriction or we give prior written permission.
3. Tool results and general information
The Service provides automated calculations, estimates, transformations, conversions, checks, previews, and informational content for convenience and general education. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing and independently verifying important results before relying on them.
Inputs, assumptions, units, rounding, data quality, browser limitations, external specifications, local rules, and changing real-world conditions may materially affect a result. A mathematically correct output can still be inappropriate if the wrong assumptions, units, jurisdiction, or source data were used.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, the Service does not provide professional advice and does not create a professional-client, fiduciary, medical, engineering, legal, tax, accounting, insurance, lending, or investment relationship.
4. Financial and investment tools
Financial calculators and financial content are provided only for general information, education, comparison, and planning. They may estimate mortgages, loans, amortization, refinancing, savings, investment growth, retirement targets, debt repayment, credit-card payoff, rental-property figures, insurance-related amounts, and similar scenarios.
Results are not financial, investment, tax, legal, lending, accounting, or insurance advice and are not an offer, quotation, approval, guarantee, recommendation, or prediction of future returns, rates, taxes, fees, market conditions, or lender decisions. Verify important figures and assumptions with an appropriately qualified professional or institution before making a significant financial decision.
5. Electricity, solar, engineering, and technical tools
Electricity, solar, electrical, engineering, networking, and other technical tools provide estimates or transformations based on the information supplied. Real-world outcomes may differ because of equipment, installation, wiring, shading, weather, location, utility tariffs, building codes, safety rules, standards, losses, degradation, configuration, or other factors.
These tools do not replace inspection, design, certification, permitting, installation, or advice by a licensed electrician, engineer, solar professional, contractor, utility, or other qualified person. Do not perform hazardous electrical or safety-critical work solely on the basis of an online result.
6. Your content, files, and rights
You retain the rights you have in content and files you submit or select. You are responsible for having the legal right to use, upload, process, convert, transmit, or submit the material.
Do not submit unlawful, infringing, malicious, defamatory, fraudulent, privacy-invasive, or harmful content, or material that violates another person’s intellectual-property, confidentiality, publicity, contractual, or privacy rights.
7. Suggestions and feedback
If you send suggestions, feedback, tool ideas, feature requests, or non-confidential error reports, you grant WT Free Tools a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and incorporate that feedback into the Service without compensation or obligation. This does not apply to private files merely processed through a tool.
8. Accounts, authentication, and security
If accounts are offered, you are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and promptly notify us if you believe an account or credential has been compromised.
We may use CAPTCHA, verification, anti-abuse systems, rate limits, and other security controls. You must not bypass, disable, or interfere with them.
9. Embedded tools and domain approval
When we approve an embedded tool for a domain, we grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to display that tool through the current embed code we provide, subject to these Terms and any tool-specific conditions.
You must use the approved domain and current embed code and preserve required attribution, links, notices, privacy choices, and branding. You may not obscure, alter, proxy, clone, or modify the embed in a way that misrepresents its source, removes required notices, bypasses restrictions, or changes its operation without written permission.
We may refuse, suspend, restrict, modify, or cancel an embed or domain approval at any time to the extent permitted by law. We are not required to maintain an embed indefinitely or provide a reason for a decision. If approval is withdrawn or removal is requested, you must stop using the embed promptly.
10. Privacy and legal responsibility for embeds
If you place a WT Free Tools embed on another website, you are responsible for your website, your statements to users, and compliance with applicable privacy, cookie, advertising, consumer-protection, accessibility, and other laws.
An embed may cause a visitor’s browser to connect to WT Free Tools or our service providers and may generate technical request data as described in our Privacy Policy. You must provide disclosures and obtain consent or opt-out choices required for the embed, cookies, storage technologies, analytics, or advertising used on your site.
11. Advertising, sponsorships, and third-party services
The Service may display advertisements, sponsorships, affiliate content, notices, or promotions and may link to or use third-party websites, APIs, libraries, CAPTCHA, analytics, advertising, payment, or security providers. Third parties are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, advertising is separate from our calculation logic. We do not guarantee or endorse the accuracy, quality, legality, availability, safety, or suitability of third-party products, services, claims, or websites. Your dealings with third parties are between you and them.
12. Pricing and paid features
Tools or features that are free today may later become paid, limited, account-based, advertising-supported, or discontinued. We may change design, features, limits, access requirements, availability, or pricing.
If paid features are offered, purchase-specific terms shown at checkout—including price, taxes, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules—also apply. We will not impose a recurring charge without the authorization required by applicable law.
13. Intellectual property
Except for third-party materials and user content, the Service, including original software, interface design, branding, logos, databases, selection and arrangement, and original written content, is owned by or licensed to WT Free Tools and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms grant only a limited right to use the Service. No ownership is transferred. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us with enough information to identify the work, the material at issue, your contact details, and the basis of the claim. Open-source components remain governed by their applicable licenses.
14. Availability, changes, suspension, and termination
We may maintain, update, test, modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. Features may differ by country, device, browser, account, or technical capability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, data preservation, backward compatibility, a particular version, or a service-level commitment.
We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, abused the Service, failed to pay an applicable charge, or when discontinuation is necessary for legal, technical, or business reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim express, implied, statutory, and other warranties or conditions, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, availability, and security.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, or that any result will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WT Free Tools and its owners, operators, affiliates, personnel, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, data, files, or anticipated savings; or losses arising from reliance on tool results, third-party services, interruptions, or unauthorized access.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury where applicable law so provides.
17. Indemnity for business users and embeds
If you use the Service on behalf of a business, operate a site that embeds our tools, or redistribute an approved embed, then to the fullest extent permitted by law you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WT Free Tools and its owners, operators, affiliates, personnel, and service providers from third-party claims, liabilities, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your site, content, representations, breach of these Terms, unlawful use, or violation of third-party rights.
This clause does not reduce mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Export controls and sanctions
You may not use, export, re-export, or make the Service available in violation of applicable sanctions, embargoes, export controls, or trade laws.
19. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or restrict rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer-protection, privacy, product-liability, or other mandatory law. If a term conflicts with a mandatory right in your jurisdiction, the mandatory right prevails to the extent of the conflict.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of WT Free Tools, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may give you rights under the law of your country or region. Courts or dispute-resolution bodies with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.
If a specific governing-law, venue, arbitration, or dispute notice is published for a country, paid plan, account, or transaction, that specific notice applies to the extent legally valid.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, law, security practices, technology, or business operations. The current version will be posted with an updated date. Where law requires it, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for a material change.
Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
22. Severability, waiver, assignment, and entire agreement
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Assignment is subject to applicable law; we may assign these Terms in connection with a lawful merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of the Service.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any specific terms displayed for an account, paid feature, embed, or tool form the agreement governing your use of the Service.
23. Contact
For questions about these Terms, intellectual-property concerns, or legal notices, use the contact details published on the WT Free Tools Contact page and identify the relevant page, tool, account, embed, or issue.
